Maharishi Academy of Total Knowledge is located 5 miles from the center of the town of Antrim, NH (www.antrimnh.org).

Antrim is a town of 32 square miles with a population of 2360. Antrim is located in the northeast corner of Hillsboro County in southwest New Hampshire.  It is considered a part of the Monadnock tourist region.  Antrim is 32 miles from Manchester, NH, 94 miles from Boston, and 251 miles from New York City.

Western Hillsborough County is unique in that cultural and recreational activity abounds but the area is lightly populated due to abundant rolling hills, lakes, rivers, and numerous wilderness protected areas. Water falls, hiking trails, ski resorts, boating, water skiing, and winter skiing are all within a short drive of our campus.

Nearby Franklin Pierce Lake is approximately 519 acres in size. The southern third of the lake is in Antrim, while the main body and the Harriman Electric Power Dam are in the town of Hillsboro. It is a warm water fishery. Recreational uses include fishing, water skiing, boating, sailing,  swimming and bird watching.

All within fifty miles of the Maharishi Academy campus:

DePierrefue-Willard Pond Wildlife Sanctuary (Bald Mountain) Trail System is a sanctuary and trail system maintained by the New Hampshire Audubon Society. The 1,000+-acre sanctuary is the largest New Hampshire Audubon property, and along with additional easements, gifts and protected lands brings the protected lands around Willard Pond to more than 2,000 acres. Willard Pond is about 100 acres in size and is surrounded by Bald Mountain and Goodhue Hill. There are four substantial trails in the system, two of which go to the summits of Bald Mountain and Goodhue Hill. DePierrefue-Willard Pond Wildlife Sanctuary Trail System Map

Crotched Mountain Ski Area

Crotched Mountain Ski Area: Crotched Mountain’s state-of-the-art snowmaking system has the highest snow production capacity per acre in New England and has the most operating hours of any ski area in the eastern United States. The original Crotched Mountain opened in 1964 and closed in 1989. The modern Crotched Mountain was built on the same location in 2003.

Pat’s Peak

Pat’s Peak: Pat's Peak is New Hampshire’s Most Accessible Ski/Snowboard Area in the winter months and transforms into a Banquet Center in the “off-season.” As the snow melts away, Pat's Peak Ski Area transforms into two banquet facilities with a dance floor and large wooden decks—an ideal outdoor wedding ceremony location.

Loverns Mill Water Falls

Loverns Mill Water Falls: The North Branch River forks through the site of the Old Loverns Mill factory creating two spectacular water falls. Located in the Loverns Mill Cedar Swamp Preserve the water falls roar during the spring runoff and are located on Route 9 in between Routes 123 and 31 on the boundary line of Antrim and Stoddard, NH.

Wind Blown Ski Area: Comfortable, friendly and unforgettable are words often used to describe Windblown. A family-owned and operated business since 1972, Windblown offers a ski experience that is no longer typical in these days of the mega-ski conglomerates. Here, the pace is slower and the people seem friendlier. Come ski the 25 miles of wooded trails; pause to enjoy the magnificent view of Mt. Monadnock.

Mount Sunapee Ski Resort: Mount Sunapee offers the region’s largest function facilities.
