Gymnasium
The Gymnasium is a 20,000-square-foot indoor facility, which includes: basketball courts, a 28-foot rock climbing wall, weight room, gymnastics center, and ping-pong tables.
Swimming
From May to mid-September, we have nearby lakes, which provide water sports and water recreation.
Soccer
A playing field area is located on the south and central areas of campus.
Adventure
Eager for adventure? The US Dept of Parks and Services offers over 25,000 acres of parks and over 100 miles of hiking trails in the area. Many parks offer rock climbing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, and sail boarding on the wide lakes of New England. In addition, Maharishi Academy holds a special camping trip in early September for first-year students.
Biking
New England rural areas and towns are famous for their scenic biking trails. There is ample opportunity for walks, picnics, and other leisurely activities.
Tennis
Three new outdoor tennis courts are located on the southern section of campus.
Recreation
Recreation courses are a part of student academic life. Sport clubs and intramural events provide ongoing opportunities for competition. In warm weather, Maharishi Academy offers water-sport classes in kayaking, canoeing, and windsurfing. In winter months, students can borrow cross-country skis from the gym and glide across the campus paths.
